They're ambitious wrecks packed with borderline broken content. The first two would pretty much require full-on remakes that would bear little resemblance to the original versions. I didn't mind Skyrim because I enjoy most settings that remind of Viking culture or anything in Scandinavia / Netherlands, but yeah I definitely wouldn't mind for a Oblivion remake minding the core RPG gameplay with stat building was retained. The Bruma region kind of gave a hint of what Skyrim would be like, and it sort of holds true. Although the faction questlines for Oblivion are definitely more interesting than Skyrim's, especially the Dark Brotherhood with Lucian Lachance and the Mage Guild stuff with the Necromancer cult and Mannimarco. I love Oblivion as a game, it was fun to play, but the world with supposedly Greco-Roman main city and the occasional Ayleid Ruin littered around the world on top of endless plains of grass and more endless plains of grass made Oblivion have the most boring setting for the series thus far in my opinion. Oblivion however was pretty typical medieval high fantasy setting. Saw a glimmer of this slightly in the Solstheim expansion in Skyrim too.

Even playing the ESO Expansion proves the world design still holds up being alien and exotic with the ashlands and the giant overgrown mushrooms.
